The current Adobe 9-Day Challenge is sponsored by The U.N. Decade of Ocean Science, so each entry will have an ocean theme to bring awareness to the sad plight of our world’s seven seas. The sponsors have provided photos, textures and clip art for creators to use for these works.
As soon as I figure out how to post on Instagram again. I’ll be showing off my work with the proper hashtags to get noticed, maybe. I’ll also be doing a project on Behance. Right now I’m on day 6 of 9. I’m spending so much time finding and masking the perfect images, textures and gradients that I’m really behind;. With luck and faster finding, I can finish this weekend. I’m using assets from World Surf League, OceanImageBank, AdobeStock, Pixabay. Unsplash. Flypaper and Epson Creative Zone.
On another note, these ocean composites will pair really well with the endangered ocean endangered species stamps I did for a challenge in February. I plan to post those on Instagram as well. Can you tell I don’t post often? I check it daily for the people I’m following, but don’t often share, especially since Facebook took over. The last I knew, Facebook refuses to recognize my copyright as a creator and reserves the right to sell images to anyone without compensating the author/artist. That’s the reason you don’t see any of my work directly on FB — just links.
Wear a mask, again! Still only about 50% of eligible people in Michigan have been vaccinated, while the rest refuse. Even vaccinated people can carry virus loads and spread the new variant to the un-vaccinated.
Take care and stay well.
